Biography

Juan Garrido is an Illustrator and Background painter based in Los Angeles. He graduated from Art Center in 2010 and has been working in TV Animation ever since. He is currently background supervisor on the Mickey Shorts Series at Disney Television Animation. With ten years experience in the industry, he has had such notable clients as Disney, Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Rick and Morty LCC, Fox and many more. He is known and sought after for his bold sense of color and lighting, bringing a rich sense of story and staging for the characters on the projects he works on. When he isn't in front of the computer at work, he is Painting from life in Nature. Always drawing inspiration from the outdoors and the sight and sounds around him. He has a deep love for fine art and landscape painting, in particular, practicing the time-honored tradition of Plein Air painting.
