Our faculty of working designers prepare students to approach spatial design from the inside out and look at projects as total sensorial experiences.

Spatial Experience design has become more sophisticated and complex as users come to expect immersive spatial experiences that reflect a brand or a set of values or both. Our distinguished faculty of industrial, spatial, lighting, materials and furniture designers and architects make a vital contribution to this vibrant creative economy. Our Spatial Experience Design department has established itself as a leading international program in the design of furniture, spatial design and home products, exhibiting throughout the world at leading furniture fairs—including Milan, Köln, Paris, Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo, New York and Chicago. We’re proud to offer one of the only industry-focused environmental design programs, where our students tackle a broad spectrum of projects with real-world application such as branded retail sites, theme restaurants, exhibition design and residential spaces.
