How to submit your portfolio

There are four methods by which you can submit your portfolio. Read the details on each format, and choose only one. Do not submit work via multiple formats.

SlideRoom (Web-based).

Our preferred method for submission is through SlideRoom. Upload your portfolio images at https://artcenter.slideroom.com. A nominal fee will be charged by SlideRoom for this service. Full instructions are listed on their site. For general artwork, we recommend scanned images rather than photos for best resolution. URLs can also be submitted by uploading a PDF or document containing the link.

Nonreturnable Printed Portfolio

Maximum size limit is 11" x 17", including the envelope or covering. This can include a presentation format or simply individual samples of the work. This format works well for the design disciplines in which presentation or project formats are appropriate. Copies of sketchbook can be included in this format along with the portfolio. Work will not be returned.

Mail with your name and address to:

Admissions Office
ArtCenter College of Design
1700 Lida St.
Pasadena, CA 91103

Film Applicants

Film applicants should provide a link to their work on Vimeo via email to filmportfolio@artcenter.edu. You must include your full name and address in the body of your email.

Original Work

You can submit a portfolio of original work in person by dropping it off, then picking it up, at ArtCenter’s Admissions Office at Hillside Campus. Due to losses in the mail, damage potential and storage issues, we do not accept any mailed portfolios of original work. Weight limit is 25 pounds and maximum dimensions of 34" x 24".

Original work must be delivered in person to the Admissions Office during business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Portfolios must be picked up in person immediately after notification that they have been reviewed/released, or they will be disposed of 14 days after notification. Continued acceptance of original work is under review for the future.
