Increase general knowledge about a variety of legal issues that individual artists/designers must deal with on a daily basis. The workshop will discuss the hows, the whys and the differences between copyrights, trademarks, ideas, contacts and privacy/publicity rights. We will also explore the technological challenges of digital issues and protection; review the rights of publicity and privacy and learn the basics of contracts and what to include to meet your needs.

Taught by industry leaders and open exclusively to ArtCenter alumni, The Business of Art and Design workshops offer insight into goal-setting, marketing, money management, legal issues, negotiating, strategic planning, time management, and project financing.

Enrollment is flexible—purchase the entire series or only the ones that fit your needs. Space is limited to ensure a quality experience.

Workshops are $75 each and open to ArtCenter alumni only. Space is limited to 25 participants per workshop.
