Are you uncomfortable putting a financial value on your work and talking with clients, vendors and suppliers? Learn tools and tactics to use when negotiating for yourself. You’ll explore various methods and tactics through interactive exercises and role-plays where you’ll learn what, when, how, and with whom to negotiate. Participants will leave the sessions with the confidence to ask for what they want and the skills to get it. Topics will include becoming familiar with the different types of negotiation methods and when to use them; understanding positions versus interests; setting targets / pricing; making and responding to offers and framing your proposals. You’ll also learn when to walk away and useful negotiating tactics and counter-tactics.
Taught by industry leaders and open exclusively to ArtCenter alumni, The Business of Art and Design workshops offer insight into goal-setting, marketing, money management, legal issues, negotiating, strategic planning, time management, and project financing.
Enrollment is flexible—purchase the entire series or only the ones that fit your needs. Space is limited to ensure a quality experience.
Workshops are $75 each and open to ArtCenter alumni only. Space is limited to 25 participants per workshop.
