5th Floor
Graphic Design Gallery
1111 S. Arroyo Pkwy
Pasadena, CA 91105

Join the Center for Diversity Equity + Inclusion at ArtCenter College of Design for a conversation with prolific Los Angeles born artist, Chaz Bojorquez, the "Godfather of Graffiti."

Chaz has created a one-of-a-kind body of work over his lifetime, blending his style of "cholo gang graffiti" with his study of Chinese calligraphy and typography. His work is featured in skate videos, movies, magazines, museums and galleries, in the US and internationally.

From the artist: "The graffiti art that Chaz Bojorquez paints today, asks even deeper questions of himself, does graffiti have intent, purpose, cultural identity, history and create unity? Who owns the public space and who has the right to speak and be heard? These universal questions have answers in all of us."

Parking is available on P2. All are welcome but seating is limited so registration is required. Refreshments will be provided.

For questions or accommodations, please email dei@artcenter.edu.

Co-hosted by ArtCenter's Graphic Design and Grad Graphic Design Department and the Latinx Heritage Month Events Committee.
