Brooklyn-based painter and sculptor, Nicole Eisenman has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions including "Dark Light" at the Secession, Vienna, Austria (2017); "Al-ugh-ories," a mid-career retrospective for the New Museum, New York (2016); and "Dear Nemesis, Nicole Eisenman 1993-2013," a traveling survey with stops at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (2015), the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia (2014), and the Contemporary Art Museum of St. Louis (2014). Eisenman was recently featured in the 2017 edition of the decennial, "Skulptur Projekte Münster" in Münster, Germany.

A 2015 MacArthur Foundation fellow and recipient of the 2013 Carnegie Prize, Eisenman's work is featured in the permanent collections of institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. She is represented by the Anton Kern Gallery, New York, and Susanne Vielmetter Los Angeles Projects.

The Graduate Art Seminar is a forum for graduate students and members of the ArtCenter community to enter into dialog with internationally recognized artists, critics, and art historians. The Seminar is a core component of ArtCenter’s Graduate Art program. The Seminar is also free and open to the public.

ArtCenter's Graduate Art program is based on intensive studio practice and rigorous academic coursework. The program is distinguished by its low faculty-to-student ratio that provides students with the attention and feedback they need to refine and achieve their artistic goals. Faculty and students are artists working in all genres—film, video, photography, painting, sculpture, performance and installation. A significant number of alumni have achieved national and international acclaim and often return to share their insights and expertise as visiting faculty and guest lecturers.
