Volkswagen ID Connect is the concept of future Mobility for daily long-distance commutes between cities in 2050. The vehicle has both normal driving mode and autonomous mode, it is able to operate fully autonomously on the maglev sky-rail system at a high speed with charring along the way.

The symmetrical DLO is emphasizing the face-to-face seating position and spacious interior space. Maglev rail system on the bodyside also becomes an iconic design element of the vehicle.
