Raised on the island of Saipan, Zachary Berger makes his living drawing creatures, epic environments and other illustrations for the film, game, VFX and advertising industries in Southern California. After being accepted as a senior illustrator in the Art Directors Guild, Berger became a concept artist and creature designer for a variety of live-action feature films. His clients include studios such as Twentieth Century Fox, The Walt Disney Company and Universal Pictures and directors such as Jon Favreau, Ron Howard and James Mangold. For a year, he designed creatures and sets for "Kong: Skull Island" by Legendary and Warner Bros. Berger also worked on projects for Rhythm & Hues and Sony PlayStation as well as clients such as StudioADI, Capcom, Cisco and Robitussin. He has taught at Gnomon, Red Engine Studios and Concept Design Academy and been published in a variety of online and print publications.
