Lisa Park is an artist who lives and works in New York. She is the recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship and was selected to become a member of the New Museum’s New Inc, the first museum-led incubator for art, technology and design. In her recent work, Park creates interactive installations and performances that use physiological measurements from biometric sensors (i.e., brainwave and heart rate monitors) to produce a poetic representation of the inner emotional state. Her work has been featured on “Wired,” Vice’s The Creators Project, Hyperallergic, “A Journal of Performance and Art” (MIT Press), “The New York Times' Bits Blog, “Time Out New York,” “New York Post,” “Daily News,” PBS’ “Off Book Series,” KBS Documentary, and other outlets. She received a master’s degree in the Interactive Telecommunications Program from New York University’s Tisch School of Arts and a BFA in Fine Art from ArtCenter.
