Anthony Furlong heads Basic Nature, a director-driven production, design and animation studio based in New York. He is a visual storyteller, writer, and Emmy-winning director who uses lavish imagery and clever post techniques to create unique and unconventional cinematic pieces including the acclaimed short film "Poetica." With roots in both theatre and computer programming, Furlong has more than a decade of award-winning design, animation, and big-budget commercial experience to his credit. He has served as director and creative director at such production companies as Little Minx, Harpoon Pictures, Shilo and 1stAveMachine. And among the many major global brands he has worked with are Yahoo!, Ikea, NBC, Cisco, Samsung, Panasonic, Nokia, Ford and IBM. With a passion for combining emotional stories with complex visuals, Furlong creates distinctively designed and impactful work, pushing boundaries in the worlds of independent music video and short film.
