Los Angeles-based graphic designer Vina Rostomyan has collaborated with a vast array of artists, educators and creators from around the world to craft one-of-a-kind printed materials. Her recent projects include Never known but is the knower, based on French researcher Michel Bitbol’s lecture exploring the blind spot of science, and a mat for a limited-edition book of multidimensional prayers by Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson. When it was time to design the “ACCD New Berlin Collective,” ArtCenter called on Rostomyan. She followed and photographed 12 ArtCenter students, one each day, documenting their projects for the book that starts with a countdown of 1,008 minutes — the total time they spent in Berlin. To complement the ACCD New Collective Program, Rostomyan designed an identity for ArtCenter’s Illustration Department.
