Marian Chiao is the creative director and founder of an independent design studio in San Francisco. Her career started at Moving Brands in San Francisco, where she worked on multimedia brand identities for a variety of clients. She went on to join Wolff Olins in San Francisco, where she applied her passion for systems thinking to large brands in tech and culture. Chiao’s projects have been recognized by Cannes Lions, Brand New, Design Week, the Art Director’s Club and AIGA. Some of her clients have included: Facebook, Google, SFMOMA, Intel, Mozilla, UCSF, Kiva and All About Tea. Chiao was born and raised in Los Angeles. She studied Film at New York University before going on to earn a BA in Fine Art from the University of Southern California, and a BFA in Graphic Design from ArtCenter College of Design.
