A prolific industrial designer, Ruben Perfetti seamlessly integrates aesthetics and functionality, focusing on how users interact with technology to make design intuitive for both drivers and pilots. During his tenure at Volvo, Perfetti was instrumental in designing a variety of vehicles for the North American arm of the brand. His elevated designs for aircraft include the cockpit for the ICON A5 light sport aircraft and the cabin interiors for the G650, a luxury jet designed to revolutionize business travel. Perfetti’s years of experience have made him a firm believer in creating and nurturing an environment in which designers can grow and achieve their highest potential. At ArtCenter, Perfetti recently served on the jury for Design for Alpha, a three-month long competition challenging students to design an innovative vehicle for “Generation Alpha,” those born after 2010.
