MFA 90 Graduate Media Design Practices

An artist who wears many hats, Parker Kuncl is an art director, product experience designer and prototyper who is currently senior product designer on the marketplace design team for San Francisco-based Uber. He’s been part of Samsung Electronics, Drync, T-Mobile (Bobsled), Ground Control and PayPal. With the philosophy that the best interface is no interface, Kuncl takes his “electronics hackery” to new levels, conceiving and designing experiences with interactive objects and spaces, including building the necessary tools if they don’t exist. Founder of MYNZ, Lendal and Find Me Vino, Kuncl has received several awards, some as part of the winning teams, including PayPal’s 2016 Hackathon Grand Prize, AngelHack’s 2015 Hackathon for Best Game App and Best MuleSoft App, and SEMA’s 2007 Best New Performance Street Product. Before ArtCenter, Kuncl received his BS in Visual Communication Design from Stevenson University in Baltimore.
