Program: Environmental DesignProject Title: EMPORIUMClass: ENV 1
Instructor: James MerazDescription: A new typology of lifestyle brand experience. Students explored and designed a new kind of lifestyle general store concept. This is an indoor/outdoor experience that considers life post pandemic. The general stores of today share a name and a desire to be a community hub with their spiritual predecessors. They are highly stylized and curated shops focused on an aesthetic, usually, steeped in heritage and offer an array of goods targeted at contemporary global nomads who are interested in quality goods that will last a lifetime. As well as a space for “slow” retail and a spatially safe gathering space for unique programming.
