Southern California is a hotbed of innovation where the future is imagined and field-tested. Our distinguished faculty of more than 400 instructors is at the center of this vibrant creative economy.

Most of our faculty are working professionals—artists, photographers, painters, filmmakers and designers of every discipline—directly engaged with the demands of today’s creative marketplace and bring their knowledge and fresh approaches into the studio. ArtCenter also employs faculty who have rich and diverse academic backgrounds—across the humanities, sciences and social science with expertise in technology studies and business as well. Faculty shape the intellectual life of ArtCenter and often build relationships with students that last beyond the classroom. Many of our faculty members are themselves ArtCenter alumni, reflecting the strong connection between the wider ArtCenter community and the College.
