Liliana Becerra is a curator and design visionary working at the convergence of emotions and aesthetics.
She is the best-selling author of CMF Design, Frame, 2016, Soft Design, Routledge, 2025 and co-author of Safe Agua, DAP 2011.
Through her studio, she advises companies on detecting and articulating intangible and ever-changing notions of meaning, value and semantics into aesthetic elements that can be touched, felt, seen and perceived as an overall experience. Clients range from health and wellbeing, food and beverage, aircraft, space and automotive interiors, consumer electronics, home and office furnishings.
Liliana has over 20 years of working as a keynote speaker and visiting lecturer in international venues, colleges and universities including: ArtCenter College of Design, Royal College of Art, Tama Art University, NABA Milano, Domus Academy, College for Creative Studies, Arizona State University, National University of Colombia and University de Chile.
She is founding faculty of CMTEL - Colors, Materials and Trends Lab, where she created new curriculum including Design Insights, CMF Design and Materials:Form. She pioneered design research strategies for projects for social impact in collaboration with Designmatters and was awarded the IDSA Bronze award in 2011 in Design Strategy for the project Safe Agua, which has also been exhibited in international venues, including the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum in New York.
