Biography

Jay Torres is a freelance multimedia illustrator and artist working in Los Angeles. His work has earned several awards and national recognition from 3x3 magazine, American Illustration, Society of Illustrators (LA & NY), and Creative Quarterly. In 2022, Jay received Best in Show and was included in the 100 Best Illustrators by Creative Quarterly annual. His work has also been featured in Hi-Fructose Magazine and Communication Arts.

Jay is also a staff illustrator at the popular sports and pop culture website, The Ringer. Although Jay primarily works in editorial illustration, he has also had work included at La Luz De Jesus Gallery (LA) and Hey There gallery (Palm Springs).

Jay graduated with honors from ArtCenter College of Design with a BFA in illustration. While Jay teaches in the department, He also currently works as administrative staff in the capacity of Senior Coordinator for both Integrated Studies and First Year Immersion.
