Biography

Brian Bartell received his PhD in English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University in the Fall of 2018. At ArtCenter he teaches courses in the Humanities & Sciences Department on race and technology studies, media studies and modernity/modernism. He is currently working on a book to be titled On the Eve of the Cyber-Cultural Revolution: Black Power and Racial Capitalism in the 1960s that will be published by the University of Minnesota Press.
