Biography

Damien brings 20 years of industry experience to the Product Design Department at ArtCenter. As Principal Industrial Designer at Samsung’s San Francisco studio for 6 years, Damien led ID, UX and strategy teams to create compelling products and experiences in wearables, hearables, mobile hardware and AR/VR.

Prior to joining Samsung, Damien spent 14 years as a consultant with the global design firm Continuum. He gained international design experience working in Boston, Seoul and Shanghai before establishing Continuum’s Los Angeles studio on 901 Abbot Kinney Blvd, once the home to legendary designers Charles and Ray Eames. As Head of Industrial Design in LA, Damien collaborated with several major clients across industries from consumer electronics, luxury goods, housewares, health & beauty and medical.

He now specializes in helping design students build portfolio-ready projects that appeal to an industry that values a strong integration of physical and digital product experiences and beautiful industrial design.
