Biography

Shannon Freshwater (Ill 08) is an illustrator and fine artist who uses collage and assemblage to reflect emotion and to examine ideas of the self. Her studio practice involves experimentation and play as she uses found items as material. Her clients include The New York Times, The Washington Post, Scientific American, Le Monde, Knopf and Little Brown among others, and her book covers are in the permanent collection of AIGA in New York. She has exhibited her work at The Society of Illustrators NY, Jonathan LeVine Gallery, Giant Robot, La Luz De Jesus, and Hey There Projects among others.
