Photography and Imaging
Lisa Thackaberry is a photography and visual image editor, researcher and consultant living in Los Angeles. She teaches Editorial Photography at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena.
Following her Art History studies at University of Southern California, Los Angeles and Sotheby's in London, she moved to New York City and worked for FOTO and Light Gallery before becoming the Photo Editor of GQ Magazine. After several years learning how to research, produce and art direct photo shoots, she returned to Los Angeles and applied her skills to California Magazine, Home, LA Times Sunday Magazine, Los Angeles Magazine and Angeleno. Photographers she has collaborated with include Mary Ellen Mark, Frank Ockenfels, Antonin Kratochvil, Gregg Segal and Chris Buck.
Currently, Lisa co-founded P&L (pattiandlisa.com ) and works with photographers on book projects, exhibitions and editing work for portfolios and websites. Lisa co-authored with photographer Dan Chavkin the book "Hand-In-Hand: Ceramics, Mosaics, Tapestries and Woodcarvings By The California Mid-Century Designers Evelyn and Jerome Ackerman."
Over the years, Lisa has been recognized for her work by American Photography, Society of Publication Designers, Communication Arts and Photo District News.
