Biography

Ramone Muñoz earned his BFA in Advertising in 1977 and his MFA in Fine Art in 1990 at ArtCenter.

1977–1988: Established his design office, Ramone C. Munoz Design Associates, which handled the design and communications needs of a variety of accounts including Atlantic Richfield Company, alternative energy division; The Los Angeles Music Center annual reports and Mitsubishi Motor Corp. of America, U.S. identity program. He is currently an adjunct full professor at ArtCenter in the Graphic Design and Humanities and Sciences departments where he has taught since 1984. He served as associate chair of the Graphics Dept. from 1986 to 1990 and chair of the Foundation Studies Program from 1990 to 2000. He helped create the first Graphics Graduate program in 1990. Muñoz, an active artist living in Los Angeles exhibits his fine art internationally. He has served as a grants panelist for the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, DOCA and the National Endowment for the Arts.
