Biography

Born and raised in Eagle Rock California, Jeffrey Borges Jones attended Pasadena City College from 2000 – 2003 and transferred to ArtCenter, graduating in 2007 with honors and winning the IDSA Student Merit Award. During his time as a student at ArtCenter, Jeffrey did internships at Design Continuum in Boston and Vans Equipment Group in Southern California. After graduating, Jeffrey joined Samsung’s LA Mobile Design lab where he worked on various mobile phone projects that went into production including the Samsung Rugby for AT&T and Samsung Galaxy Mini, which sold more than 10 million units globally. In 2012, Jeffrey helped transition the LA Mobile Design Lab to Samsung Design America, which was located in the financial district of San Francisco. During Jeffrey's time at SDA he worked on various category creating products for Samsung such as the Gear Fit 1 & 2, Gear S & S2, Galaxy View and helped create the edge design language which is still being used for Samsung's flagship devices.

Jeffrey is currently a Senior Industrial Designer at Samsung Design America with over 10 years of experience designing consumer electronics.
