Cecil Kim

Cecil Kim has worked in the video game industry as a concept artist, and art director since he graduated from ArtCenter in 1996. He has worked on multiple million-selling projects such as Final Fantasy IX, Parasite Eve, Twisted Metal Black, and award-winning God of War 1, 2, and 3 and won BAFTA Best Artistic Achievement award in 2011 for his work on God of War 3. Kim has worked at Sony Santa Monica studio (internal development studio for Sony America) since the very beginning and led the artistic vision for God of War franchise as visual development lead. Cecil also founded Section Studios in 2011 to work on various game projects and built his studio into a 70-person game development studio. Cecil is currently working as a studio art director at thatgamecompany on Sky: Children of the Light and their next IP. Cecil also has been teaching since 2002. He recently rejoined ArtCenter as a professor and is excited to help students learn about game development and art direction.
