Biography

Carrie Hansen is an artist and surface designer who has worked for companies including Trina Turk, Speedo, Warnaco, Kellwood, BCBG, Forever 21, Carbon 38 and Oh Joy! for Target. She focused on art, women's studies, and world literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz. In 2004, she received a degree in Textile Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Los Angeles. She joined ArtCenter in 2017. Now, Carrie is the associate director for Humanities and Sciences, managing the four H&S minors and student advising along with teaching surface design studios for Illustration. Carrie's illustrations were included in the TOMES show at the Wiliamson Gallery, July–December 2019, and her animal portraits were featured in Loved Ones at Good Eye Gallery, October–December 2018.
