Biography

Gary Meyer is a professor at ArtCenter. He holds the honorary title of Second Master of the College. He was elected by the faculty to receive the first Faculty College Award and elected by the graduating students to receive seventeen Great Teacher Awards. Mr. Meyer was named Distinguished Educator in the Arts by the Society of Illustrators. He has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, first place in the Key Arts Award for motion picture poster art, Best of Show, three gold medals, one silver medal and four Special Judges Awards from Illustration West. Others include two awards for bronze sculptures in the North American Sculpture Exhibition. His professional experience includes work for all aircraft companies, all movie studios and others.
