Biography
Ms. Podesta’s career marks an intersection of art and film. As an artist, she is recognized for early performance videos which have been exhibited at museums and festivals in the U.S. and Europe and received numerous awards. She has taught at ArtCenter for over 20 years, during which time the focus of her career shifted and she became a Production Designer for film and television, notably for the films Memento, Love and Other Drugs and Bobby, and television projects American Gods, Hannibal and Homeland. She received an Emmy nomination for her work on the HBO Film Recount and has received 3 nominations for the Art Director’s Guild Award.
She designed the highly praised exhibition dedicated to the work of film director Stanley Kubrick for the Los Angeles Museum of Art, which was on view at LACMA from 2012-2013.
