Transportation Design
Geoff Velazco attended the College of Creative Studies in Detroit. Following his graduation, he was employed by General Motors. During his two years working there, he worked in both Chevrolet and Buick Studios. While at Buick, he designed the Buick Cielo Concept car exterior. He was also chosen to join the Speedvision team which was tasked to create the design language and criteria for each of the General Motors brands. After General Motors, he moved to Southern California and began working for BMW Designworksusa. During his twelve years there, he participated in design proposals of every model including the X3 SUV. After BMW, he joined Hyundai's North American Design studio. In those seven years, he has designed the Sonata exterior and Hyundai Saga show car. Velazco has also been an instructor for ArtCenter College of Design for seventeen years.
