Elaine's professional journey spans three decades in motion, interactive and advertising design. A graduate of ArtCenter in the early '90s, she was a pioneer of interactive design for Time Warner and Launch Interactive. Her love of narrative led her to the rapidly growing field of motion design. As an Emmy-nominated designer and art director at Los Angeles-based design firms including Picture Mill, SuperFad, Fuel, Imaginary Forces, and Ant Farm, she crafted main titles, commercials, teasers and identity packages for clients including Nike, Sony, HBO, Paramount, Universal, Disney, Lifetime, Target, Toyota, and Apple. Elaine began teaching at ArtCenter in 2012 and became a full-time associate professor in 2018. She has also served as senior lecturer at Otis College of Design. Her classes focus on motion, placing a premium on conceptualization. She guides her students toward the discovery of their creative voice in every detail of their work.
