After obtaining a degree in Illustration, Bill began his career as a gallery painter, painting landscapes throughout California, New Mexico, Mexico, Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal. Shifting focus to animation, he joined Disney and worked on Oliver and Co., Little Mermaid, Rescuers Down Under, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Fantasia 2000. He realized his goal of art directing a Disney animated feature film on Aladdin. Subsequently, working with Warner Bros., Dreamworks and other studios, he art directed the animation for Space Jam, worked on Shrek, Outlander, John Carter of Mars (for Paramount, unreleased), Spiderwick Chronicles, Charlotte’s Web and a variety of video games. Returning to Disney in 2007, he was involved with Bolt, Tangled, Frozen, Winnie the Pooh, Zootopia, Prep and Landing, and he art directed the short; Tick Tock Tale. He is currently working on a project for Warner Bros. and Netflix. He has taught painting and composition at ArtCenter since 2000.
