Brian Carter is a musician, composer, associate professor, author, and storyteller with over 30 years of experience in music production, post-production sound, and multimedia storytelling. He began his career as a touring musician and songwriter, placing songs with recording artists and contributing music to television. He later managed the multimedia division at Avid Technology, producing hundreds of digital projects, including customer stories and product videos. As a product manager at Fender, he worked with Grammy-winning artists to develop signature guitar lines for the world’s largest guitar maker.
Today, as an associate professor at ArtCenter College of Design, Brian teaches sound for digital media and post-production, emphasizing creative fundamentals and emotional storytelling. He is also the author of The Art of Sonic Storytelling, which will be released in Fall 2025.
