Biography

Dr. Shanna Dobson is an Assistant Professor at ArtCenter College of Design, Visiting Assistant Professor at Harvey Mudd College, and Lecturer at Cal State LA. She is Chair of Faculty Council and Section Chair of the SoCal-Nevada Section of the MAA.

Dr. Dobson received her PhD in Mathematics (summa cum laude) from the University of California, Riverside. Her research interests are Fractal and Arithmetic Geometry, and Topos Theory.

Dr. Dobson’s graduate research was generously supported by an NSF Mathematical Sciences Graduate Research Fellowship. She was a participant in the Institute for Advanced Study Women and Mathematics Program and Ambassadorship.
