Alex Nijmeh is a creative professional with over 30 years of experience in the visual effects and animation industries. He began his career as a generalist in the games industry, His passion for cinematic storytelling soon led him to the film industry, joining Digital Domain as a 3D modeler, lighter, and compositing artist.
At Digital Domain, he contributed to several high-profile live-action visual effects films, including The Day After Tomorrow, I, Robot, and Stealth, showcasing his versatility and technical abilities across multiple disciplines.
Transitioning into the world of animated feature films, Alex joined Walt Disney Animation Studios back in 2004. His work can be seen in some of Disney’s most beloved films, including Zootopia, Frozen and Frozen II, Moana and Moana II, Encanto, and many others. Over the years, he has held a range of roles—from lighting artist to lighting supervisor—culminating in his leadership position as a head of workflow supervisor, where he guided technical and creative pipelines to optimize production efficiency and artist workflows.
