This exhibition assembles the work of a trio of designers in Mexico outlining new methods for a design driven by the everyday. Inspired by the conflict between the importance of embracing the everyday and the routine understanding of design as driven by novelty, progress, and individual vision, this group exhibition features works by APRDELESP, Fabien Cappello and mUcHo studio/taller—contemporary designers and collectives engaging traditional crafts in new ways. Organized by Robert Kett, Assistant Professor, Humanities and Sciences, ArtCenter College of Design.
*Please note: Admission to Peter and Merle Mullin Gallery is free and will be available by advanced request. All visitors must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination (with booster if eligible) upon entry. Please contact exhibitions@artcenter.edu for further information.
