Foundation, Government and Nonprofit Organizations

ArtCenter’s Foundation and Government Relations team manages the College’s relationships with local, regional, and national grantmakers; including foundations, government agencies, and other nonprofit organizations.

ArtCenter’s institutional funders’ generosity is reflected in named spaces such as Ahmanson Auditorium at our Hillside Campus and The Fletcher Jones Foundation studios and Hutto-Patterson Exhibition Hall at our South Campus. Funding also supports ArtCenter classroom studios, public programs, and exhibitions such as The Mary Pickford Foundation-supported Arts Consortium LA Designmatters studio, the Seeing the Unseeable: Data, Design, Art exhibition made possible by the J. Paul Getty Trust’s Pacific Standard Time initiative, and lastly, the College’s participation in Pasadena Unified School District’s My Masterpieces cultural field trip program made possible by the California Art Council.

Additionally, funders like The Ray Charles Foundation and the Pasadena Art Alliance help bring an ArtCenter education within financial reach for scores of students through their generous support of scholarships; and funders such as The Rowe and Gayle Giesen Trust and The Kenneth T. and Eileen L. Norris Foundation strengthen the College’s community ties by underwriting our K-12 art and design programs offered in partnership with local schools and youth-serving nonprofits.
