Creative Direction


One of the ‘who’s-who’ in the automotive business. Tom built Team One from scratch for the Saatchi network in 1988. His assignment was daunting: launch Lexus from nowhere on the block to outselling BMW and MBZ in just over 3 years. He wrote the line “The Relentless Pursuit of Perfection” that became the mantra for the brand for 30 years.  Tom served on both Saatchi’s and JWT’s World Wide Creative Boards with the purpose of improving the creative around the world in those offices. He and his team have won Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils, Clios, D&AD Awards and numerous Effie’s for effective marketing campaigns. He has created campaigns for Korean Air, Air New Zealand, Yamaha Motorcycles & Snowmobiles, Kirin Beer, Pizza Hut, Adidas and Microsoft.  His style of creative is “Don’t give a client what they want. Give them what they never dreamed possible.”
