Biography

Janine Vigus is a designer, writer and artist who was born in Seattle, Washington. Vigus received an undergraduate degree from The Evergreen State College. In 2018, she received an MFA in Art History from The Open University in the United Kingdom. She has been a designer on the staff of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Fowler Museum at UCLA and LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes in Los Angeles. Vigus has participated in and led workshops on exhibition development and design at the Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botantical Gardens, and for the California Association of Museums. She has designed identities for the Chinese American Museum, the Vincent Price Museum of Art, Steve Turner Gallery and for many exhibitions and private clients. Vigus currently lives in Los Angeles where she designs books and exhibitions for artists, galleries and museums.
