The Los Angeles Auto Show is back and taking over the Los Angeles Convention Center from November 18–27, 2022. Join thousands of fellow automotive enthusiasts to discover the newest rides, test drive vehicles from over a dozen brands, experience the latest tech, explore an assortment of customs and supercars and enjoy family-friendly brand activations throughout the show.
ArtCenter College of Design will showcase a number of Transportation Design students as they conduct live sketching demos alongside visits with several well-known alumni who will informally discuss their career trajectories, latest projects and can’t miss L.A. Auto Show highlights.
On Friday evenings and throughout the weekends, ArtCenter will host live sketching workshops and conduct guided tours of the L.A. Auto Show—always led by knowledgeable transportation designers who can provide the inside scoop of what it’s like to design new vehicles and concept cars.
Throughout the Show, exhibits of student work will include concepts developed for Meyers Manx, the legendary California automotive company that created the original Dune Buggy and became synonymous with beach culture. Meyers Manx is expanding into new vehicle segments and pushing the industry in new directions, and challenged students to imagine fun and playful driving experiences for a whole new generation. ArtCenter’s Transportation Design program offers a bachelor’s degree in Transportation Design, a master’s degree in Transportation Systems and Design, and a number of extension courses (offered in person and online) that allow people of all ages and skill levels to explore the basics of car design.
